Word of the Week

I introduced the Word of the Week to help us improve our working knowledge of the English language. Your part if you choose to participate is to be aware of and use each word for the entire week whenever the opportunity presents itself. This way we will all increase our vocabulary and our knowledge of the English language supplying us with a very effective tool to utilize on our road to success.

Negativity Negates

Negativity negates prosperity, love, joy, and all good things from coming to us.

I have spent some time lately talking with people who say they practice their meditation, getting into that sleepy state where there is little conflict between conscious and subconscious, and visualizing their desires with emotional content and positive affirmations, doing all the right things, taking all the steps as far as internal work is concerned yet, not experiencing the results they had hoped for.

What I have discovered through our conversations is that many are unaware of the negative thought patterns and conversations they engage in on a daily basis outside of their internal work. Most return to allowing their mind to be their guide. It is important to realize we are not our mind we are spirit. Our mind is simply a tool through which we manifest our desires into our physical world. We must realize we get what we think and talk about whether we want it or not.

How much time do we spend on a daily basis complaining about weather, “bad” drivers, gas prices, hydro prices, finances, government, aches and pains, our duties? All these things set up a negative vibration about us making it difficult for anything positive to reach us.

When we engage in thoughts such as wealthy people are snobbish, or dishonest we are actually chasing money from us.

When we engage in negative conversation about our aches and pains or the aches and pains of others we bring more upon our-self.

If our self -talk is negative or we see and feel our-self as inferior, whether it is a physical or mental handicap, we cannot help but reap the negative attributes these seeds produce in every facet of our life. Without exception this includes business, financial, relationship, social, you name it.

If we carry anger, resentment, or any number of negative emotions within us it will be difficult or impossible to attract the positive things we wish to manifest in our life. Depending on the strength of these emotions our supply of all that is worthy is shut off.

Again I say we get what we think and talk about whether we want it or not.

If we wish to attract more of what we want into our life it is necessary to develop an attitude of gratitude for all we have in this moment. Be thankful for what you have, know what you want directing all your attention to it with patience and confidence and more will be added unto you.

Now

Where are our thoughts when mind is not there?
Relaxed and content in spirit, without care?

Time is illusory, a function of mind,

A trap we fall into, causing lives to unwind.

Truth is this moment, is all I command,

The answers I seek, presently on hand.

The thing that’s important is neither what nor when,

But how I respond, this determines my end.

No worry for future, no focus on past,

Could it be I have arrived at last?

A New Year...

A beautiful quote to start the New Year with. Keep it on hand, read it often.

A New Year – A New You

We each play a role in the bigger game of life. In this bigger picture, life plays with energy and matter to expand, create, express and evolve. It explores new possibilities, realizes them and then reaches for even more. Life continually transforms what is into something brand new.
We choose how actively we take part in this cosmic dance. We can become mere spectators to life if we get stuck in old ideas that have lost their energy for us.

How much passion do you feel for your goals? Are you still being creative in how you work with them?

"Embrace fully your capacity to create, to think in unlimited ways, and to pursue everything that you have been wanting. Be flexible, open and willing to let the new come to you. This can be the most joyous, prosperous, and creative time of your life." - Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer

Grow Your-Self

When we attach ourselves to others opinions and ideas about who they think we should be we severely limit our growth. In fact the growth we will experience is not our own at all. When we allow others opinions about us to be our influence we are being driven by outside forces and become other peoples ideas of what and who they think we should be, what is best for us….oops, or should I say them.

This is not to say we should never seek the council of others or discount what they may have to say if it is relevant to our worthy ideals and is in harmony with the direction our purpose. Become the observer. It is important to test these opinions and ideas each day by turning them over to our inner Power of Intelligence and releasing them, allowing the answers to come to us.
Here is a great quote to keep on hand.

“Other people’s values will bring you other people’s results.
But your values bring fulfillment and joy.
Always remember it is nobler to imperfectly pursue
your own vision than to perfectly pursue the vision of another.” - James Arthur Ray

In this coming year let’s make a priority of growing our-self, challenging the opinions and advices of others, discarding any that are not in keeping with our purpose. The only one who truly knows your path is you.

On Being Genuine

In any life endeavor, whether it is business, friendship, or love it is imperative we be genuine, be our true self from day one. When emotions are running high it is very easy to compensate and put forth an image which does not represent our true blueprints. Our body chemistry is such that we are willing to temporarily forgo many desires, habits and character traits we would normally display in order to successfully attract the desired result at the time. This may work fine for a brief relationship or business venture but can never work in the long term unless we are willing to adopt our new thought patterns and eliminate old blueprints that will not support them. Failure to do this will result in our old programming resurfacing some time in the future very likely bringing with it resentment and a feeling of incompleteness.

This is not to say we cannot have a successful business or long-term relationship otherwise, but it will be sub maximal to what should be, had we followed our true self. We can still be happy and content should we choose to conform to a lesser existence rolling languidly along, but it will be impossible to experience the full of life we were meant to create.

In the end we will look back and either say; “Wow, my life has been full and satisfying.” Or; “If only I had followed my passion……I could have been or done……”

The decision is ours and ours alone. If our life is not all we would like it to be it is because of our decisions to this point. We have not been genuine with our self, our true purpose. We have allowed outside influences to dictate our thoughts and decisions. Nothing outside of us is to blame. The only way to take a new direction in our life toward all that we were meant to be is to change us, not the other guy, not the environment. We must be genuine, discover what we are passionate about and focus all our intention upon it adopting new blueprints and relationships that support it. There must be a willingness to let go of what was, the comfort zone we have allowed our self to slip into and does not support our purpose.

The first difficult step is to be honest with our self, genuine. The second and probably the hardest step will be to take sustained action against resistance. We are likely to experience lots of it. The bigger the change the greater the resistance will be.

Difficult Tasks

Two of the most difficult tasks we will ever perform in our life are;
  1. To live our purpose without regret, not trying to please everyone around us.
  2. To allow another to live their purpose without judgment, especially those close to our heart.
