Grappling
A constant battle rages within
At any given moment I am not sure who will win
Will ego? The father of fear, be victorious in this moment
Or shall Spirit, Who oft seems to lie dormant
At times I feel anger, or, is it anguish of Heart
Thinking Spirit could be more forceful, Its guidance impart
At times I feel lost, unsure how things work
Unable to distinguish egos mastery where all dangers lurk
Then, of course there are times when all is bliss
Times when nothing seems amiss
All flows so smoothly through the Art of Allowing
The Mighty Spirit, feels so empowering
This is my experience when I take time each day
To still the mind, breath, meditate, and pray
Why I stray from this path so true
Remains a mystery for me, and for you
My mission - purpose - is to assist others in achieving a higher quality of life and understanding - realizing their power and purpose in life through gaining clarity of thought and definiteness of purpose.

On Health, Wellbeing and Forgiveness
"Forgiveness
is the first requirement which permits man to be in harmony with the Law of his
being." Raymond
Holliwell - Working with the Law
No real
healing has taken place until forgiveness is realized.
If we wish to
experience complete happiness, fulfillment, peace, joy, and health in our lives
it is imperative we learn how to first forgive others, and then to forgive our
Self. A guilt-ridden resentful mind is the breeding ground for all disease. By
our thoughts we are the sole creators and possessors of our joys and our ills.
Not God, not our neighbor, nor any other outside influence can be held
accountable.
In her book
Your Word is Your Wand, Florence Scovel Schinn states; "Fear, doubt,
anxiety, anger, resentment, pull down the cells of the body, shock the nervous
system, and are the causes of disease and disaster.
Happiness and
health must be earned by absolute control of the emotional nature."
When we
harbour feelings of guilt, anger, jealousy, remorse or any of the myriad of
negative emotions toward others or our Self, we essentially reduce or cut off
the supply of all that is good, coming to us. We become disconnected, in
disharmony with our creative source, which brings us love, peace, joy,
prosperity, health and all that is good. Forgiveness is for our well being
and that of the other person. By releasing you, I also free myself. We
only hurt our Self, by refusing to forgive. In essence we are punishing
our Self. Why would we want to do that?
These
negative emotions set up an environment conducive to sickness and disease of
all kinds. This is not theory but scientifically proven fact. These
emotions create an acidic environment in the body making it a breeding ground
for all manner of sickness from mental illness, to seasonal colds, to cancer.
In his book
Working with the Law, Raymond Holliwell refers to an experiment conducted by
Professor Elmer Gates of the Psychological Laboratory of Washington, D.C. In
his experiment, Professor Gates analyzed the perspiration of his subjects representing
a wide range of emotional states. All negative emotions indicated a strong acid
environment with guilt displaying the strongest result.
Florence
Scovel Schinn also gives us; "All disease begins in the mind. Resentment
has ruined more homes than drink and killed more people than war. Our release
leading to lasting freedom and happiness is found in forgiveness."
from
- Your word is Your Wand
Keep in mind
forgiveness does not mean we forget the valuable lessons to be learned when we
are wronged, or we wrong someone else, and correct it. What it does mean
is we are able to recount the incident free of blame, without attaching
negative emotion to it. Until you have done this you have not truly
forgiven the person or yourself.
To forgive we
must reconnect with the Infinite Intelligence that is in all of us and see each
person as their true self, which is love, peace and harmony. We must
understand it is through ignorance and small mindedness we are done ill by.
All has purpose, being presented for our benefit. Develop compassion for
those who are out of touch with their Inner Self and wish for them what we
would wish for our Self. Be grateful for the growth they allow us to
realize. Wish love, peace, joy, wisdom, and all the blessings of life to others
and yourself but above all love, for love is the only way to wizen the roots of
unforgivness.
Jesus said,
(for our well being);"But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them
that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for them which
despitefully use you."
Matthew

Of Health & Attitude
I had an interesting question posed from a member the other day.
Now you must understand, this member, like many of us, suffers annually with the usual seasonal colds, allergies during allergy season, some year round, and of course receives their annual flu shot religiously.
Member – “How is it that you are never sick? You are continuously in contact with cold sufferers yet never become sick. You always have more than enough energy even though you work ridiculous hours, often 16 hours per day. What is your secret?
My answer in short was – “My secret lies in my attitude of mind. What I believe disease to be, and that we, originally, were created in perfect health. Therefore we are entitled to, perfect health.”
Now, was I always this way? Absolutely not. I have access to records that show, I, at one time, was one of the worst allergy sufferers on the planet I am sure. Typically admitting myself to hospital several times each year for albuterol sulfate treatments because I could not get my breath due to asthma. I had been an asthma sufferer since age 5. I never went anywhere without my inhalers. I allowed myself to be embarrassed by my attachment to the inhalers, believing them to represent weakness. I suffered from hay fever, three seasonal colds each year and strep throat on more than one occasion.
Through nutrition and exercise I was able to improve my circumstance by about 80%. However I would still wind up in hospital a couple of times each allergy season with a ventolin mask stuck to my face. I was forced to modify my exercise program because I could not breath well enough.
Today I am 100% allergy free. I cannot remember the last cold I had. This level of health eluded me until one day I thought about what disease truly is vs what I had accepted as truth about disease. Since that day of discovering the truth about disease I have not been sick one day, nor have I once experienced any allergy or used an inhaler.
Everyone is able to attain this, but not at the level of thought we as a society currently adopt about disease.

Through the kindly offices of my doctor friend, I suddenly realized that it was natural to assume that the Creative Intelligence which made all my organs, fashioned my body, and started my heart, could heal its own handiwork. The ancient proverb says, “The doctor dresses the wound and God heals it.”
